  1. Install GSDL software, upload around ten documents comprising pdf, doc, ppt files. Enter the detail metadata for each document and publish the collection for a CD.
  • You can easily download Greenstone from this url 
  • http://www.greenstone.org/download
  • Now, after downloading greenstone, run this on your computer and click on the greenstone application file. Two windows will show up, first the black one and then the greenstone librarian interface window. Do not close the black window, you can minimize it.

  • In greenstone librarian interface, firstly, we have to create a new collection (Click on "File" tab and select "New") as shown below :-

  • In the pop up window, fill up the details for "Collection Title" and "Description of the content" and then click "OK".
  • Now, From the "gather" tab, select atleast 10 documents of different formats.

  • Drag these files (in black box) from "workspace" to "Collection" as shown below :

  • Click on the "Enrich" Tab and fill up the details for each file one by one in "Value" column.



















  • Now, go to "Design" tab, and select " Document Plugin", "Search index" and "Browsing Classifier" as per you needs. 






  • Now, go to "Create" tab and Click on "build Collection" tab and when the Build finishes, Click the "Preview Collection" button.



  • We can search for any term like this

BLI-224: ICT FUNDAMENTALS PRACTICAL 1) Prepare a one page of your resume using LibreOffice Writer with a table for qualifications and experience. Table must be embedded in the document. Table must centre aligned in the text with the content left justified. Top row text must be in a bold face and use colours and shading in the row to distinguish it from other rows. 2.Prepare a presentation on a topic of your interest using LibreOffice Impress. The presentation must have atleast 4 slides with a title slide. In the second slide a bulleted list is to be provided. In the third slide insert an image with text description. In the final slide insert a table. Use animation schemes for header and the text and transition effects in each slide.  3. Create a file in LibreOffice Calc showing marks of students obtained in a semester with separate columns for assignments and semester end exam. Sort the file alphabetically and ascending order of marks. Add a bar chart representing the data.
